Launched as part of the European Commission’s Media Action Plan, the VR/AR Industrial Coalition aims to address the fragmentation in the European VR/AR ecosystem and stimulate cooperation across industry sectors. Building on Europe’s creativity and strong research base, the Coalition’s objective is to ensure European leadership in this key industrial technology.

This series was initiated in 2004 by the INTUITION Network Excellence in Virtual and Augmented Reality, supported by the European Commission until 2008, and incorporated within the Joint Virtual Reality Conferences (JVRC) from 2009 to 2013.
